The dictionary defines mindset as:
A fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a person's responses to and interpretations of situations. An inclination or a habit.

So, how do we develop our mindset?  Just like in our habits we often develop mindset through our environment, our family, and our culture. Generations pass down certain attitudes or mindset to children about their social standing or financial status.  That is why certain generations stay in the same social standing because they don't believe they can go any further. We often place a ceiling on ourselves or tell ourselves that, this is who we are.

The problem is that we define ourselves and place limits on what we are capable of doing.  And Just as the quote from Henry Ford says is true, " whether you think you can or can't, either way you are right." We often predetermine our own destiny by the way we think.

So, what do you have to do to change your mindset? Reprogram your thought process.  Change your limiting beliefs. Question why you think that you have limitations. Question why you feel stuck.  Visualize yourself in a different place.  See yourself making more money, having the career you want and not what you think your stuck in. See yourself with the body you want, the health you want, the relationship you want and not what you have told yourself to accept.

  • Write down your limiting beliefs, and examine them.
  • Be honest with yourself.
  • Write down the beliefs that YOU want. Find yourself!
  • Read those beliefs to yourself daily!
  • Set goals and visions. Develop skills needed.
  • Get a role model or mentor. Success leaves clues!
  • Guard your mind against negativity. Naysayers!
  • Keep your confidence and stay on your path!
  • Help others!

I'm not saying it’s going to be easy, it can be a lot of hard work to retrain your brain into changing something that you've believe for years, but why should anyone not be happy?  Don't you think we all deserve happiness? I DO!
